Brandon

Intern Counsellor

Brandon is a counsellor trainee who is currently looking to complete his Master’s degree of Professional Counselling. As your therapist, he will look to establish a genuine human connection with you, giving you permission to be yourself, to be your authentic, vulnerable selves. He wants to empower people to be genuine and authentic with themselves, he believes that this is the first step towards path of healing. His counselling philosophy follows the idea of “Kintsugi”, a Japanese art of repairing broken objects by filling the cracks with gold. It teaches us that if we embrace our broken pieces and honor our imperfections, our story can become more beautiful, simply because the broken pieces are seen as a unique piece of our history, which adds to its beauty. With that said, his therapeutic approaches include techniques from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), as well as Narrative Therapy (NT).
